We learned that most lots in Lahaina can have accessory dwellings, commonly known as Ohanas! YES you read this right! Many Lahaina resident's may not know this was allowed. Please visit the Recovery Permit Center to check on details for your property.
Accessory dwelling (also known as Ohana) can be separated or combined to the main dwelling (thereby allowing for 2 kitchens).
STRICTLY SUGGESTIONS:
Affordable process: Cad Design drawings with an Architectural stamp is needed to apply for the permit.
The Building Process – More efficient and reasonably priced.
The most efficient way to expedite framing a home, is to have walls prefabricated (offsite), then delivered to your lot and installed on site. No cutting for framing is on-site. The process is very effective, and we know of a company that is very efficient in this process along with providing building supplies. Please contact us for more information.
Maui County Property Tax Collectors office is issuing refunds and is not charging property taxes for 2024 to those that lost their homes from the Maui Fire on August 8, 2023. They have sent refunds for some residents, but for those that did not receive their refunds, they will issue checks at this office.
